Art for Climate Action

For artists and climate activists

Course description

Climate change requires global action and local solutions. In this lab, students will learn critical aspects of climate change through the work of environmental climate action movements, with a spotlight on current youth activists. We will explore the impact of the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals to frame each student's climate issue interest in a global context. Climate action experts will visit the Lab and advise students on their collaborative and individual student projects.

Inspired by youth-led movements, students will use digital tools to develop a two-sided Action Poster; one side featuring research on a climate issue of their choice, and the other side being a call-to-action art poster perfect for a climate rally. Synthesizing research and art, all Climate Action Lab projects will push for measurable change in local communities.
