Course description
The Digital Animation + AI course is for students interested in art and animation–and in using the latest AI tools for digital art. Learners will explore how AI is shaping the future of graphic art and animation production. Young digital animators will start by learning the main principles of animation; scripting, storyboarding, drawing, and understanding motion. Grasping these essential concepts will help them take on the challenge of creating their own original animation. Middle school animators will learn about the history of animation and produce a short clip that will showcase their developing animation skills. They will also learn about new developments in the animation industry, national animation competitions, and how to continue learning about animation in high school and college.
