Dan Sonrouille

Dan Sonrouille brings almost 20 years of experience in teaching, coaching, and curriculum development to his role. Dan has been the founding member of three NYC high schools where he designed and taught numerous science courses while also serving in a variety of teacher leadership roles. Prior to joining MeshEd, Dan was the Director of STEM for Ascend Public Charter Schools, where he oversaw the creation and implementation of all high school math and science curricula, coached instructional leaders, and provided strategic support to the high school. Dan began his career as a New York City Teaching Fellow after working in research at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dan holds a bachelor’s of science in biology from Central Connecticut State University and a master’s degree in secondary education from City College, New York. Dan holds school building leadership and district curriculum coordinator certifications in his home state of Maine. Outside of his role at MeshEd Dan is an adjunct professor of science content at Relay Graduate School of Education.
