Edwin A. Goodman
General Partner, Active Venture Partners

Mr. Goodman has had an extensive career in private equity and venture capital, banking, media, and retail.  He was a Co-Founder (1999) and General Partner at Milestone Venture Partners (NY) which, in 2017, merged with Activate Venture Partners. He remains Investment Partner with Activate Venture Partners, investing in high-growth technology companies predominantly in the Mid-Atlantic and New York metropolitan areas.  Through the 80s & 90s, Mr. Goodman served as President and CEO of Hambro America in NYC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of London-based Hambros Bank LLC. Here, he led and assisted with a variety of activities, including the building of assets under management, investments, divestments, liquidation of mature funds, M&A, VC funds management, operations management, and more.  Mr. Goodman has been active in industry and CSR activity in his service as trustee and/or director of foundations, not-for-profits, and industry associations.  His early career was in high-end retail at Bergdorf Goodman, a family-owned business.  Mr. Goodman served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the 60s in active and reserve duty.

Mr. Goodman received a BA in English from Yale and holds an MS in Business from Columbia Graduate School of Business.
