Gabe Hurlock (she/her/they)
Lead Advisor, Program & Business Development, Instructor

Gabe is an Air Force combat veteran and a Wesleyan Veteran Posse Alumni. They graduated from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut with a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy and dance. As a community catalyst, Gabe has worked with fellow veterans to launch The Appalachian Scholar Project, a literacy and pre- college mentorship program for 9-12th graders in Charleston, West Virginia. They have experience teaching in Connecticut, including Middlesex county high schools, Green Street After- School Program, as well as Wesleyan University’s College Prison Education Program, as a tutor and TA for philosophy. By interweaving holistic acts of resilience and praxis, Gabe is an art-ivist who is also trained in West African traditional/ spiritual dances, poetry, kemetic yoga, and diasporic- modalities of social justice inspired arts education.
